Please note that the hiring process may differ for jobs at Bombardier Belfast.
Bombardier builds relationships with schools across Northern Ireland through its award-winning education programme. Its key objectives are to support the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum, and to generate career interest in these subject areas.
The programme comprises a wide variety of practical initiatives and interactive activities and encourages schoolchildren to think of STEM subjects as exciting and creative processes of discovery and invention.
STEMNET and STEM Ambassador Programme
STEMNET is a government initiative designed to inspire young people about STEM. The initiative is aimed at enabling them to develop their creativity, problem-solving and employability skills, and widening their career choices.
As a strong supporter of STEM in education, Bombardier was one of the first companies to sign up to the STEMNET initiative, which is now an integral part of its educatiion programme. Its STEM Ambassadors, from apprentices to senior management, promote STEM in schools.
Bombardier Belfast offers development opportunities to passionate, ambitious and talented graduates within a number of areas of our buisness. Details of opportunities are posted on our UK Graduate Programme page, when available.
On-going Links with Education
In addition to the above programmes, Bombardier’s close ties with education include work-experience opportunities, careers advice such as attendance at careers fairs and mock interviews, and support for school prize-giving events, all at secondary level.
