More than 40 years’ experience
Bombardier Aerospace, Belfast has more than 40 years’ experience in the design, development, manufacture and support of aircraft engine nacelles. We produce major nacelle components for Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, which power the Airbus A330 aircraft; complete nacelles, including thrust reversers for General Electric CF34 engines, powering Bombardier’s CRJ regional jet family and Challenger 605 business jet; and and nose cowls, fan cowl doors, aprons and Engine Build Unit (EBU) systems for Rolls-Royce Deutschland BR710 engines, selected for long-range intercontinental business aircraft.
We also supply directly to Airbus the nose cowl and fan cowl doors for the International Aero Engines’ V2500 powerplant, which is in service on the A319/A320/A321, while EBU systems for the V2500 are supplied to International Aero Engines.
In addition, Bombardier Belfast has been selected to design, manufacture and provide aircraft certification and after-market support for the complete engine nacelles, including thrust reversers, for the new Irkut MC-21 family of aircraft.
